The viewing was very good.  It was a time when most everyone shared something about my sister and what she was like.  Very appreciated!

Now the memorial is going to be on August 23 because it will take some of the family time to be able to come and to arrive.  My sister will be laid to rest then.

My sister's memorial is now just 9 days away.  Not looking forward to it but, it does have to happen.  I will be singing "Gleams of the Golden Morning" and my niece and her husband (my sister's daughter and her husband) will be signing the song.  My sister had a deaf daughter and son and was involved with Deaf Ministries.  Her husband, John works with Gospel Outreach and travels all over the world doing Deaf Ministries.  Now that Alberta passed away I'm not sure what will happen.

Anyway, not looking forward to the Memorial but, Alberta will be resting until "The Gleams of the Golden Morning" and "What A Day That Will Be"....Another song several of my brothers, nieces and nephews will be singing.

Yes, just 9 days...........

My sister's Memorial was now just 3 days ago.  It was a good Memorial with quite a few people and many family members.  It was held at the College Heights Church at Burman University and my brother and I sang "What A Day That Will Be" and I sang "The Golden Morning" with my niece and her husband signing.  My sister and her husband have a deaf daughter and deaf son and have worked with Deaf Ministries for many years.  The Special Ministries Director from the GC participated in the funeral as did the Deaf Ministries Director from the NAD and a man from Three Angel's Deaf Ministry.   For the rest of the weekend we had a lot of family here and were together most of the time.  And most of them left this morning.

Now John, Alberta's husband is struggling and will be doing a lot of work to recover from her loss.  Sad!  We also will be but, we do really need to pray for him.

Well my sister's husband is having a memorial for Alberta at their daughter's place in New Brunswick today. (September 15, 2019)  Jean wasn't able to come here for the funeral so John went their to present it so she can deal with her loss.
